
Jorge Arce
CEO of HSBC México
Arce boasts a 33-year career in the financial sectors in Mexico and the United States. He has served as CEO of HSBC México since February 2020 and in December 2021 was also named Chairman of the Board of Directors. In March 2023, he became Vice President of Group B of the Association of Banks of Mexico (ABM).
From 2016 to January 2020, Arce served as Deputy General Manager of Global Banking and Markets at Banco Santander Mexico. Previously, Arce served for 21 years at Deutsche Bank, where he held a variety of key positions.
From October 2011 to March 2016, he served as Managing Director of Deutsche Bank Mexico. He began his career in 1990 at Citibank Mexico and in 1994 he was transferred to Citibank London. Arce served as Vice President of the Association of Banks of Mexico (ABM).
Additionally, he has served on the boards of Coppel, the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), the Deutsche Bank America Foundation, the national and international council of BoysHope GirlsHope in St. Louis, Missouri, the Foundation for Children Ser y Crecer in Monterrey, Nuevo León, and Reforestamos México, among others. Jorge Arce earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics from Pace University in New York.
