COMMITTEES

The American Society of Mexico is comprised of 5 main committees that carry out a variety of activities that serve the American community in Mexico, fostering cultural, business, philanthropic and civic ties.

ORGANIZATIONS STEERING GROUP

VIVIAN BARDAVID

Member of the Board & Chair Organizations Steering Group. Founder and President Manhattan Group

Founder and President of Manhattan Group, S.A. de C.V., a boutique real estate brokerage company established in 1997, specializing in AAA office spaces and high-end residences.

Her dedication to excellence has earned her, and her company, the trust of renowned multinational corporations, top Mexican developers, embassies and ambassadors of several countries; and of many prominent artists, and affluent individuals and families.

She studied Business Administration and has continued her personal development in the areas of real estate, leadership, sales, marketing and art.

Vivian is a member of NAR (National Association of Realtors), of AMPI (Asociación Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios), has been a speaker at diverse real estate events, and has imparted courses on Commercial Real Estate and Luxury Homes.

She is a board member of the American Society, where she serves pro-bono as the Chair of the Organizations Steering Group, which assists more than one hundred and ten American charitable, civic, social, cultural and educational Organizations operating in Mexico, by promoting communication and cooperation among them, as well as between them and American individuals, institutions and other organizations, to help build a more prosperous, safe andfriendly society in Mexico.

Headed by Vivian Bardavid. THE ORGANIZATIONS STEERING GROUP is the governing body and operating arm of the Organizations Committee of The American Society of Mexico. 

The ORGANIZATIONS STEERING GROUP is made up mostly of directors of extraordinary organizations, as well as professional consultants and volunteers in the philanthropic field, who contribute their time and heart to carry out our mission.

The purposes of the ORGANIZATIONS STEERING GROUP are twofold: 

To help the Organizations of our network achieve their mission. 

To help the community through those Organizations. 

At The Organizations Steering Group and The American Society of Mexico we are always willing to help.

Chair, Public Affairs Task Force

Patricia Gonzalez is an Independent Board Director of the British Chamber, Women Economic Forum Iberoamerica, EBC University, Foundation for the Education of Entrepreneurs for Mexico, and AFEECI; as well as the Chair of The Public Affairs Task Force of AMSOC, Vice-Chair of Tax Commission of the American Chamber, the Global Summit of Women (Mexico) and the Technical Events Commission at IMEF, Mexico.

Before her retirement, Patricia was a successful partner of taxes and legal services for 30 years at PwC. She led various areas such as financial services, tax policy, corporate responsibility, among others. Throughout her career, Patricia has always been a champion for women equity and diversity.

Patricia had a seat at the PwC Global Board for 4 years, representing 10,000 partners. Patricia is a Certified Public Accountant and has studies diploma category at the Universities of Austin, Texas, London, Ontario and University of Massachusetts. She has the full commitment to proactive participate in promoting Diversity Gender & Inclusion and probono services to none-profitable organizations.

Headed by Patricia González. THE PUBLIC AFFAIRS TASK FORCE is a coordinate and optimal team with high experience, its aim is to manage the public affairs that concern to government relations, charitable organizations, politics, commerce associations, bussines groups and communications.

PURPOSES:

US Embassy agenda and following up to suggested topics.

Special guests.

Chambers, associations and confederations agreements.

Chair, Membership Committee General Director at Sección Amarilla/AND

Benjamin holds a BA in Communications from Anahuac University and postgraduate diploma in management from Kellog School of Business. 

In the last 30 years, Benjamin has been involved in managerial positions and his focus has in business transformation, the internationalization of operations, marketing and companies digitalization. 

Currently, he is the CEO of ADN Digital agency and he is also responsible for the small and medium industry sector at Telefonos de Mexico (Telmex). 

He has been speaker at different forums like TEC, IPADE, Universidad Anahuac, Google, the Advertising Week amongst many others. Hem and American individuals, institutions and other organizations, to help build a more prosperous, safe and friendly society in Mexico.

Headed by Benjamín Podoswa. THE MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE main task is to attract and make join new members to the AMSOC, following a specific strategy in order to maintain the members requirements in the correct level. The committee focus on developing the best strategies to get involved and to approach to the American community looking for an increase of members.

Chair, Events Committee Director of International Cultural and Public
Relations at Club de Industriales

Graduated from the University of the Americas and The University of Texas at Austin. She was Honorary Chair at the Foundation of the Cultural Center of Contemporary Mexico and is currently Director of International Relations and Culture at Club de Industriales, she is also chair of the Committee of Events and Image at The American Society of Mexico and Founder of the organization Cultura Sin Fronteras.

Headed by Patricia Kelly. Events and image committee join efforts to construct an appropriate way to reach our american community interests in order to attend the main topics at the moment. The making of a diversity of events help us to reach a higher level of audience.
