The social impact of strategic alliances

The Organizations Steering Group is the governing body and operational arm of the American Society of Mexico’s Organizations Committee. To date the group is comprised of 138 leaders of American organizations, who enjoy the support of expert consultants in the field of transformative social investment.

The Organizations Steering Group’s mission is to promote communication and multisectoral cooperation in pursuit of creating a robust humanitarian support network to undergird a more prosperous, safe, healthy and harmonious society.

This is possible thanks to the mapping of key actors and identification of scalable, measurable strategic models of social investment best suited to address the many urgent problems afflicting the people of Mexico today. This approach, moreover, serves to create synergetic projects that add value in line with Sustainable Development Goals.

Our unwavering commitment to forging alliances has yielded more than 500 charitable development programs, impacting more than 10 million people.

The Organizations Steering Group is convinced that the nonprofit sector is an invaluable ally in the work of forming public policy and deploying sustainable strategies that contribute to the autonomy of communities. Informed by a rights-based approach, always striving to act ethically and responsibly, we believe in the importance of working hand-in-hand with government, private business and the people we serve.

Public Affairs Task Force

The American Society of Mexico’s Public Affairs Task Force provides a unique, strategic platform for leaders of U.S. companies operating in Mexico. This exclusive group is comprised of senior government leaders and C-suite directors, who come together to address key challenges faced by businesses in the country.

Working in conjunction with AmSoc President, the Committee of CEOs and the LATAM Council of Presidents in regular meetings held with key high-level decision-makers, members enjoy the opportunity to influence political and economic policies. This collaboration provides coordinated representation required to face of common challenges effectively, while also serving to strengthen the impact of American companies in Mexico.

The Public Affairs Task Force is structured in specialized subgroups, each with a specific sectorial focus, which ensures meticulous implementation of sectorial strategies and defense of interests. This segmented approach ensures all concerns and opportunities are managed and addressed as effectively as possible, something that affords members significant competitive advantages.

Participation in this group affords C-suite leaders the exclusive opportunity to advance their companies’ interests in pursuit of overall economic development of the country.

Vision of integration and progress

We work to strengthen the region on the basis of the USMCA and active promotion of nearshoring.
In pursuit of sustainable competitiveness, economic development and the integration of productivity in North America, AmSoc has established the Mexican American Society, a mirror organization devoted to a similar mission.
AmSoc organizes meetings with the embassies of diverse countries to achieve a future of consolidated opportunities in both Mexico and the United States.
Through this innovative approach, AmSoc aspires to lead the way in building a more prosperous and connected future for the United States and Mexico.

Open to community participation

AmSoc promotes inclusive dialogue and open participation with society at large, ensuring equitable access to diverse initiatives and activities.
This openness informs AmSoc’s U.S.-Mexico Binational Convention, forums, networking and cultural events, as well as the commemorative celebrations it hosts such as the 4th of July festivity and Children’s Day.
AmSoc encourage dialogues, formulates proposals, and promotes best practices among authorities, civic organizations, businesses and other social sectors.

AmSoc’s Organizations Steering Group works with a broad array of companies, civic organizations and private philanthropists to facilitate the establishment of joint initiatives that make a difference for millions of people in Mexico.
Over the years, AmSoc has established a substantial humanitarian support network, integrating 138 key American organizations that provide capital specifically to support philanthropic initiatives that have had untold impact on the lives of countless people in Mexico.
